About ACFE Tanzania Chapter

ACFE – TZ, herein referred as “The ACFE Tanzania Chapter”, is a non-profit professional Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFEs) and other anti-fraud practitioners, with Registration Number S. A. 22140 under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Particulars of the organization. 

The chapter is envisioned to be the top anti-fraud professional association in Tanzania which assists individuals and organizations i.e., public and private, in prevention, detection and deterrence of fraud.

ACFE-T is affiliated to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Inc. (ACFE) as a sole CFE chapter based on the United Republic of Tanzania (i.e., Mainland and Zanzibar). The Chapter provides various anti-fraud trainings based on ACFE’s body of knowledge, other professional standards, and tailored to fit the Tanzanian context.

Mission

The ACFE Tanzania Chapter is committed to serving the community, strengthening member networking, supporting organizations in fighting fraud, advancing CFE professional development, contributing to fraud examination knowledge, and actively participating in national anti-corruption efforts.

Purpose

The main purpose of ACFE-T is to be a reliable key stakeholder on reducing the incidences of fraud and other related crimes in Tanzania through empowering organizations and individuals in areas of prevention, detection, deterrence, and risk management.
